City Planning Commission Meeting Results

On December 7, 2023, The City of San Diego’s Planning Commission hosted a meeting solely to discuss the De Anza Natural Plan. They did approve the plan so it will now go before the City Council.  Here’s what you need to know:

  • Campland on the Bay wants to assure you that they will continue serving campers for many years to come.
  • The City and Coastal Commission have not yet made any final decisions regarding the Master Plan update for northeast Mission Bay, where Campland is located.
  • The City’s planners have acknowledged that it will take several years, possibly even a decade or more before the plan can be implemented.
  • Campland and Mission Bay RV Resort remain committed to providing you with an exceptional waterfront camping experience for the foreseeable future and will notify our visitors as soon as we know more.
  • Please plan on supporting us at upcoming City Council meeting to discuss the Master Plan. The dates are expected to be announced in the first quarter of 2024.
  • If you’re not already a member, please consider joining the camper advocacy coalition, Friends of Campland, so they can keep you up to date and offer ways you can get involved. Click here to sign up.

THANK YOU

We’d like to send a big thank you to all our supporters.  Many showed up to the meeting and spoke.  Many more wrote emails to the City Planners in advance of the meeting.

We really appreciate your support!  We have one more big meeting with the City Council to show up for.  Stay tuned.

Happy Holidays!
